Infusion Du Sourcier - Yarrow and Elderberry

Labrador tea, raspberry, balsam fir, yarrow, elderberry.

Most of our botanicals are grown, harvested, and thoughtfully processed at Domaine Botania.

Not recommanded during pregnancy.

Hot Infusion

Add 1 teaspoon of the blend to a cup of hot water (70 to 80°C).
Steep for 5 to 10 minutes, then strain and enjoy.

Cold Infusion

Prepare the hot infusion as directed above, then strain.
Allow to cool in the refrigerator. Sweeten to taste, if desired.

For a refreshing herbal tea, you may add lemon or cranberry juice.

The cold infusion keeps for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.

Tip: Freeze the infusion into ice cubes and add them to your glass to preserve its full aromatic richness without dilution.

Du Sourcier owes its name to a longtime friend who once asked us to create a herbal tea specially crafted for him, using specific plants. It is to this friend, a dowser for generations, that we owe this infusion.

Often confused with a “sorcerer,” a dowser has nothing in common with one. Gifted with an instinctive sensitivity, a dowser is said to locate underground water sources. Traditionally, the tool used is a Y-shaped rod, often made from hazel wood, which helps indicate the precise location of a water vein.

Du Sourcier herbal tea is a blend of plants traditionally used during periods of cold and flu, particularly when a mild fever is present. Yarrow and elderberries, included in this infusion, were historically valued for supporting the body during febrile states.

Today, elderberry is being studied for its antiviral properties and is recognized for its high antioxidant content.

The use of medicinal plants is rooted in a tradition that spans thousands of years. While their benefits are widely recognized, they should be used with discernment.
