Labrador Mulled Cider

Labrador Mulled Cider is an invitation to slow down. The warmth of apple cider blends with the spices and plants of La Gitane, slowly infused to reveal their full depth. Comforting, aromatic and enveloping, it pairs beautifully with cool evenings and autumn gatherings.
Recipe – 1 Serving
Ingredients
1 ½ cups apple cider
2 tbsp La Gitane herbal tea
1 tbsp sugar or honey
15 ml dark rum or whiskey
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a saucepan.
Simmer over low heat for 20 to 35 minutes, without bringing to a boil.
Strain and serve hot.
Mocktail versionReplace the cider with apple juice and omit the alcohol.
Recipe – 10 Servings
Ingredients
15 cups apple cider
1 cup La Gitane herbal tea
½ cup sugar or honey
½ cup dark rum or whiskey
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a large pot.
Simmer over low heat for 20 to 35 minutes.
Strain and serve hot.
Mocktail versionReplace the cider with apple juice and do not add alcohol.
Tip
For events or market service, keep the cider warm in a thermos or in a pot set on low heat to preserve the aromas without altering them.
