La Gitane Iced Chai

Iced chai reveals a brighter side of La Gitane. Still prepared according to the traditional method passed down to us, this refreshing version preserves the depth of spices and plants while offering a smooth and thirst-quenching texture. A summer way to enjoy this classic, reimagined with local plants.


Ingredients

  • 1 tsp La Gitane herbal tea

  • ½ cup water

  • ½ cup milk, dairy or plant-based

  • 2 tsp sugar or maple syrup

  • Ice cubes


Preparation

  • Place all ingredients, except the ice cubes, in a small saucepan.

  • Heat over very low heat for 20 to 30 minutes, without bringing to a boil.

  • Strain and allow to cool completely in the refrigerator.

  • Pour over ice cubes and serve.


Enjoy!


Tip

For an even creamier texture, lightly froth the milk before adding it, or blend the chilled mixture for a few seconds before serving.
