Herbalism & benefits
Lemon balm
In herbalism, lemon balm is considered the anti-stress plant par excellence. It is soothing, calming, a nervous system tonic, and a stomach tonic. It is a plant that helps bring a more positive outlook to life. It is particularly helpful for people who are hypersensitive, vulnerable to stress, or prone to overwork.
Skullcap
Used as a nervous system tonic, skullcap is a calming and soothing plant that is especially helpful for hypersensitive individuals. It is commonly used in cases of stress, anxiety, and worry, to calm nighttime mental activity and help combat insomnia. It also helps relieve nervous tension.
Catnip
A nervous and digestive tonic, catnip helps promote calm, concentration, and focus. It is particularly helpful for hyperactive individuals and those whose thoughts race continuously. Often used for restless children, it helps soothe, calm, and support sleep.
Oat tops
Oat tops are nourishing and support the nervous system. They are remineralizing, tonic, calming, and soothing.
German chamomile
Both calming and soothing, German chamomile is commonly used to help with insomnia, stress, and anxiety. It is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties.
The story behind this infusion
A few years ago, I experienced a burnout that brought with it chronic insomnia, anxiety, and panic attacks. To support myself during that time, I created an herbal tea blend that became my lifeline for several months.
Even today, during times of intense stress, I return to this dear companion, which I now share with you through the Clair de Lune infusion.
Why Clair de Lune? Each time the moon is high and full, I have difficulty falling asleep, like so many sensitive souls, and it is this infusion that keeps me company during those quiet, solitary moments.
